USPA NEWS - Even in 1971, when the tragic event of the fall of Dhaka occurred, a dictator Yahya Khan had imposed martial law on the country and was acting as the ruler. After the tragedy of East Pakistan, the Hamoodur Rahman Commission was formed, which revealed that Yahya Khan made such decisions for his personal interests and to extend his illegitimate power for ten years, as a result of which Pakistan was divided into two pieces.

The Hamoodur Rahman Commission Report was prepared after investigations involving representatives from the high judiciary, as well as the Army, Navy, and Air Force—during these investigations, statements from hundreds of people were recorded, and 4 years were spent investigating the causes of this tragedy.

According to the Hamoodur Rahman Commission, the greed and ego of one person wrote a chapter of oppression and tyranny, after which the country broke apart forever. The biggest mistake was to suppress Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's most popular party, the Awami League. The party that won 160 out of 162 seats was pushed against the wall, and Mujibur Rahman was thrown in jail, while seats in West Pakistan were increased to show otherwise. On March 24, 1971, negotiations began with Mujibur Rahman, but that same night, an operation was launched against the Bengalis, in which, according to official figures, the blood of 50,000 people was shed, while the actual number is much higher.

Today, the same conditions have been created in Pakistan as they were in 1971. Asim Munir orchestrated the false flag of May 9 to crush the country's most popular party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. In two nights, more than ten thousand people associated with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf were arrested. How was it possible to arrest 10,000 people in two nights without investigation? After that, the process of crushing the party began—the political activities of the country's largest party were completely banned; if anyone raised a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf flag, it was taken away; our candidates and their families were abducted. Even our electoral symbol was taken away from us, but the people came out on February 8 and brought the entire narrative to the ground.

February 8 was the day of revolution when people voted against the system of oppression and gave Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf a two-thirds majority. When the Commissioner of Pindi responded to the call of conscience by exposing the veil of electoral fraud and confessed to rigging of fifty thousand votes, the forces involved in the rigging created a crude narrative of his mental imbalance and made him disappear.

No one knows about him to this day, but we will not let him be forgotten. The real culprits of May 9 are the ones who stole the CCTV footage. Now, using the same May 9 as an excuse, the seats we had left are being taken away from us through illegitimate ten-year sentences. The height of shamelessness is that Ijaz Chaudhry's seat was taken away and given to Rana Sanaullah, who lost the election. All these sentences are completely illegitimate. By doing two plus two equals four, they are shamelessly occupying our seats. That is why we have boycotted the by-elections because they will steal these seats again. And participating in this election would be tantamount to accepting these fake sentences—I pay tribute to everyone for resigning from the National Assembly committees and relinquishing all privileges, and I direct that resignations from the Senate Standing Committees should also be submitted now. I will announce my future course of action in a few days.”

My sisters and wife have no involvement in politics. Aleema Khan only comes forward to convey my message. The campaign against them is regrettable and a clear proof of the cowardice and fear of the regime imposed on the country.

Bushra Begum has no role in politics. Bushra Begum has never asked me to nominate any minister, ticket holder, or senator. She does not send any political messages. She is in solitary confinement, and she has no contact with any political figure outside. She is enduring the hardships of imprisonment solely because she is my wife.

The oppressive regime thought they could use Bushra Begum as my weakness, but due to her unwavering faith, she has become my strength. She is perhaps the only woman in Pakistan's history who is non-political yet has had to endure imprisonment simply because someone in her family is involved in politics. Bushra Begum's health is unwell. She feels dizzy while walking. A request for her medical examination has been filed, but it has not been accepted yet. Her urgent medical check-up on a priority basis is extremely important. Imprisoning Bushra Begum in political cases is proof of the moral and religious decline of the Asim regime.

All the atrocities against me and my family are being orchestrated by Asim Munir. At this time, Asim's law is enforced in the country, which, under the Daku Duffer Alliance, has buried morality. The proof of moral degradation is that even the women of my family are being targeted."

The operation in Khyber Pakhth should be stopped immediately. There was a time when the ANP was made unpopular in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in a similar manner. Military operations against our own people, just to please foreign powers, do not improve the situation but make it worse. In these operations, on one side, our security forces are killed, and on the other side, our own citizens are killed. Killing our own people always leads to an increase in terrorism. Drone attacks in Afghanistan and Pakistan, on our part, should be stopped immediately.

?I direct all the provincial and national assembly members and senators of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to come together and resist the operations and drone attacks against our own people to ensure peace in the province, so that this issue can be resolved peacefully. On one hand, people are facing floods and inflation, and on top of that, they will have to face operations, which is extremely painful. History is witness that there is no permanent solution for peace except through negotiations.

Afghanistan is our brotherly Muslim country. Afghan refugees have been living here for three generations. When the Holy Prophet ? migrated to Medina, everyone opened their doors for him, and that is why the Ansar of Medina are respected to this day, but we have made life difficult for our Muslim brothers. It is very unfortunate to forcibly expel refugees. Asim Munir is doing all this to please the anti-Taliban lobby and is deliberately imposing war where there is none.
